Hire Terms & Conditions

All items hired from “Velvet” are hired on the following conditions:

General:

The hirer assumes all responsibility once items are in their possession. Unless agreed by Velvet, all props and furniture are for indoor use only. If Velvet has agreed that furniture can be used outside (weather permitting), please ensure they are not left outside overnight.

It is recommended that you take out your own insurance or otherwise the hirer is liable for any damage to props and furniture.

Delivery/Collection:

Delivery and collection is to the agreed location on the agreed dates. Cost will be incorporated in the quotation.

Cancellation:

A non-refundable deposit of 30 % is required with the order to secure the items. A lot of our items are unique and therefore once you have booked them for a specific date we can’t offer them to another client. Cancellation of a confirmed booking will incur a percentage fee of the remaining balance.

Less than 3 months  50% of the balance

Less than 2 weeks  75% of the balance

Payment:

The balance is payable ONE week in advance of your event. All damages/losses will be charged at FOUR times the hire value, 

BACS is preferable, please allow THREE WORKING DAYS for the transfer.

Cheque: please ensure we receive it at least SEVEN working days prior to the event. Cheques are payable to “Velvet”.
